Some warmer. To Nan's this noon. At night to
Hospital & then to Davis to see Helen - her
cousin Elizabeth & Frank off for Canada.
Frances had a white bow in her hair &
looked older. Lura was over too.
Thorpe here for an P.O.D. today. St.
L. people have a new treb- ular chute & we expect new P.O.
Reg. Father
wants to come home - couldn't sleep tonight so got up at midnight &
did accts. &c.
Sat 1911
Nice day. Saw Mary this a.m. (broke glasses) Station
Matinee settled (?) in N.Y. Yesterday (Gorsline
Swan) came home & rested & read "Mistress of
Shenstone" &c. Saw [illegible] Flying up were
(raced with Lehigh train) at 8 went with
Mother to 3.00 Pres. Parish
House to see Fred Boyce &
Clara Lewis married - to Davis's afterward.
Helen home for summer. Francesalmost
broke her collar bone.
Mon 1912
The dear boy home again. Intoler- ably hot! The
worst yet I think. I was exhausted, but there was a very hard storm from
5 o'clock on which cooled it off wonderfully. The big chestnut in the
woods near
Cro'nest was struck!
Tues 1913
Lunched with Bess & Mary
today. At 5 Jim took us for a
lovely ride to the Parks -
Clarence
and I. Went to the theatre with Mrs.
Caring &
Dolores in the evening party of 2nd part.
Wed 1914
Warm & pleasant. Lunched
with
Mother& Mrs
B. This p.m. the new
Clarence
came and I went to the Art Gallery for the ladies & we went to
Brady's house to Cobb's
Hill, Highland &
South
(all ready for carnival &c.) Home
to nice late supper. Mrs. Drury seemed to enjoy it
much.
