A muggy - showery. Busy with
Frey
specifications. Claude told me about
Henry's adneoids today - which must be
removed - & Dr. Jewett says tonsils too - but we
think not. Tonight the boys moved the desk &c. into the front office
- at my suggestion. The other room for book - cases & consultation. Went
to the Hospital to see
Kath & got caught in a hard shower on
the way. Called at Carings & on
Marguerite (& Mrs.
Nash) and then read
Mothereverybody's and "The friendly Stars"
Wed. 1911
Cold today and rainy &
cloudy. Everybody working hard.
Frank
went to the hospital in his
Auto. to bring Jim home (four weeks!)
Gurdon was in "between trips".
Went with Lura to get her new hat
tonight. This evening Miss Connor
(Mrs. Nash's sister) was over after my gym Suit and
later Mother and I had a fire in the
grate & read "Everybody" & sewed. I also wrote letters.

Awfully busy. Went out for
lunch & tried to work tonight but couldn't so went to "When
Bunty Pulls the Strings" ("modified rapture!) cool weather
here.
Mother went to the Exposition
with the children. Henry first tooth
out!
Sat. 1913
Cooler but fine. Did various
errands & got to Florence McL's
about 3:30 & sat on the piazza till she & Lou
came. Staid to supper and had a long visit by the grate fire. When I got
home wrote &c. Bed rather late.
Roosevelt in town today (at the Exposition &c.).
Sun. 1914
Another lovely clear day. I
went to church this a.m. Frank Gosnell's
last day. He sang a Sidney Lanier
solo. ThisIrene Wynans came ("to see me") &
Kitty Fichtner, (with Florence) This p.m. I had the auto & took Marguerite &
Ella Durney to Honeoye Falls and
Rush &
South Park & home the
Henrietta Roads.
