2JANUARY 2 Sun. 1910
A "soft" day. A little snow
& a little sunshine & lots of slush. Busy about the house all the
Monday - a late - good - chicken dinner.
Bess & Mary came, & later Mary
& Nellie Mac & Letitia & Chan & Henry - (Claude
stopped this morning). The girls liked the house very much indeed -
& the cats too. We had cider &c. wrote and read &c. in the
evening - wore my new silk dress. Mon. 1911
Felt better today but didn't
get dressed till night. Finished "It never can happen again
came in late & I didn't sleep for some time. Tues. 1912
Came down - with lots of
others - on the 7:50 train Mr. Rowe met M. & we saw her home. I went to bed
about 10:30 or so & slept till 1:30. Had dinner, slept till 6:30 &
then to bed again at 10:30 & slept till 7 a.m. I never slept so before
nor needed it so much (haven't been to bed at
all lately!) I learn that Gurdon is
now working as Packard demonstrator for Mandery
! Just his speed! I think he will make good there. Thurs. 1913
Still fine. I had such a
nice luncheon party. Trudy, Lura &
Mabel (who was real funny - she's home
for 3 months) Jno. Mc I.Milly
& Ham sat behind us. G. saw people from Glen's
Falls she knew & Mr. Ely - we played
flinch tonight and I was
very victorious! Fri. 1914
Soggy day & but some sun.
Had a nice luncheon at Sibley's with
Mabel &
Florence
& lasting an hour & a half. Then went to the bank &
was busy all p.m. Brought books home and worked all the evening on them
& going to bed very tired, of course.
