1 JANUARY 1 Sat. 1910 A nice winter's day. Father not well. Late breakfast. Went to Cro'nest & took "Wee Wee" & Channie for a long sleigh ride - to "cannin
" in Park and around Boul- evard by tobaggan slide. They read letters on signs. Hurried lunch & dressing & to new Temple Theatre after forgetting ticket & going back. Nellie, Mary Mac & Edith. Walked home with Edith saw Xmas presents - &c. gave me a box of Huyler's. After supper Lura & Mrs. B. came for the evening - visited & played flinch & had candy & grape juice. Wrote later. New black silk dress.
Sun. 1911 A rainy sloppy day - after the very cold ones. I was about sick all day - my high fever left me rather weak & used up - we had breakfast at ten & spent the rest of the day on the den couch. Mother went to Claude's to dinner & brought me "Buried alive" to read - very amusing. Claude was to go to Foster Warner's new house warming this afternoon. Mon. 1912 Mother & I went to Dansville at 9:40. Read "Miss 318"
some of the way, & the rest talked to Mae Galleger
(Edith's brides - maid. Marguerite
& "Catty" Edwards met us & we went to Ed- wards & had a nice chicken dinner & a visit & then Mother & I called at the Andrews & left Thermos bottle as our presents (& Dr. & the Davidson kids) called at Dem's & Krem's & then I came back & had a nice call from Will Clark. Slept till 6 & after supper they sent a carriage & we went to Edith's wedding - a lovely one - at 8:30. She looked lovely. Fine supper &c. jolly time till 11 or so when we rode home in moonlight. Nice young people. Will
and Morris played & "Bud" Hall was there.
Wed. 1913. Lovely mild day. Up late. Gertrude, Mother & I (G & I walking) went to Cro'nest to lunch. Claude at Club. Nana down stairs for the first time in 3 weeks. The boys
"Gran'ma", Trudy & I went for a long auto ride. Finally to Big Elm farm to see Mrs. Adams & back by Dewey Ave to "Hever" Hall (see mem.) The boys enjoyed every minute. Had supper &c. with Bess & Mary. Mary & Nellie & Alice Mac & the 2 Whitten girls were down a little while - a good time. Home about 10.
Thurs. 1913.
Cloudy a.m. but it brightened up & got cold. Fixed my room around. Elec. light &c. and cleared out closet, dresser & desk &c. Home all day. Claude & the Boys
came down this am, just as Mother got back from prayer meeting. She went to the YWCA this p.m. I had a fire & sat by it - loafed & was home all day. Frieda had a family dinner party tonight. All the town go to George Eastman's big ball tonight! ($25,000.00!)
