221JULY 31 Sun 1910 A perfect day. Mother went to the hospital this a.m. & I read in bed (den) till 10:30. Then washed dishes, made beds, dusted &c. Went to Cro'nest about one and fixed Channie's photo book before dinner. Mother came to dinner in her blue wedding day dress & looked lovely - We took Birthday pictures & gave Claude his tomorrow - presents Jo still in Buffalo (till tonight.) I went to hospitalthis p.m. Father about the dance. Mr. Forman called. He is very nice - says Father looks just like his father. Claude came later. Tonight I read till ten. Mon 1911 Beautiful morning - & a warm day later - came down on the 8:30 boat with Mr.
& Mrs. Ed Chapin (all the way) went to Mabel Rogers to lunch with Mrs. Baker, Lura & Mary. Arranged a picnic. Had a letter from Trudy that she was coming tomorrow & this p.m. Tappan had a message from Boston that his wife had gone to the Hospital twice. Starts for there tonight. Real warm.
Wed 1912 Lovely morning but wet (about 45 !) Went down on the dock & "helped" fish early. Could see the suckers swarm. Later walked way over to the edge of the "bush" & read. Then Mr & Mrs. A. & Mr. & Mrs. Med came & we scared up partridges in the garden - field & then met Mr. & Mrs. Ullman & to the spring & on the way back stopped at the bowling alley. Sat in my pet summer house - read - Tante after lunch. The clouds & view were lovely. After dinner Mr. & Mrs. Ancona took me for a lovely row - over to Echo rock. Sat by the fire in the evening & watched the children dance. Lydia Ullman & Louise Holstein are grace itself - The boat came in early 10 o'clock. Thurs 1913 Still warm & feel rather used up. Marguerite wants me to come to Conesus over Sunday (Her crowd at Edward's Cottage) Read & bed. Sat 1914 Aug 1 Our boy's birthday The girls rode down with me this morning. Right after dinner we had Mr. Welch to drive our Ford & all (includ ing Mother) went on a long auto ride- to all the parks - & Nine mile pt. Mother Wrights & Gaston's. After supper to Cobb's Hill (saw the gilmores) a thrilling "slide" down the side - followed by giggles!
