A perfect day. Mother went to the hospital this a.m. & I read in bed (den) till 10:30. Then
washed dishes, made beds, dusted &c. Went to Cro'nest about one and fixed
Channie's photo book before dinner. Mother came to dinner in her blue wedding day
dress & looked lovely - We took Birthday pictures & gave Claude his tomorrow - presents Jo still in Buffalo (till
tonight.) I went to hospitalthis p.m.
Father about the dance.
Mr. Forman called. He is very nice - says Father looks just like his father. Claude came later. Tonight I read till ten.
Mon 1911 Beautiful morning - & a warm day later - came
down on the 8:30 boat with
Mr.
& Mrs. Ed Chapin (all the way) went to
Mabel Rogers to lunch with Mrs. Baker, Lura &
Mary. Arranged a picnic. Had a letter from
Trudy
that she was coming tomorrow & this p.m.
Tappan had a message from
Boston that his wife had gone
to the Hospital twice. Starts for there tonight. Real warm.
Wed 1912
Lovely morning but wet (about
45 !) Went down on the dock & "helped" fish early. Could see the
suckers swarm. Later walked way over to the edge of the "bush" & read.
Then Mr & Mrs. A.
& Mr. & Mrs. Med came &
we scared up partridges in the garden - field & then met
Mr. & Mrs. Ullman & to the
spring & on the way back stopped at the bowling alley. Sat in my pet
summer house - read - Tante after lunch. The clouds & view
were lovely. After dinner Mr. & Mrs.
Ancona took me for a lovely row - over to Echo
rock. Sat by the fire in the evening & watched the children
dance. Lydia Ullman & Louise
Holstein are grace itself - The boat came in early 10 o'clock.
Thurs 1913

used up. Marguerite wants me to
come to Conesus over Sunday (Her crowd at
Edward's Cottage) Read & bed.
