372DECEMBER 29 Thurs 1910
Rain & slush today, but
I came home to lunch. Henry
has a cold. Charlie Sutton
was in - dear me! How different from years ago. Wrote & read
tonight. Have a bad cold myself.
Fri 1911
The boys will always remember
today! Up early & everyone better & on deck to see sparkling
N.Y. harbor - frosty & fine. Well till nearly ten docking
& customs &c. Then I brought tickets, 'phoned Wilkinsons &c. &c. & we had a good
dinner at 11 in the Station (Nana's
first in 4 days!) Marion came over.
Took the Black Diamond this p.m. (noon) & spent a couple of hours in the
rugs on the Observation End. The boys
were speechless with delight. Dined in the "Supper car" and arrived at
9:40. Father & Granma
met us. Snow here. It was a heavenly day all thro.
Sun 1912
Nice bright day. Went down to
Church with Mother (by car) It was so
slippery. Put away my Xmas things -
Claude's to dinner. Dr.
J. says Nana had
"(catharral pneumonia)" - she is much better but still in
bed. I came down home awhile & then went to Millie & H. Davis
(128 Rosedale) for quite a visit Jack
McIntosh &wife are in town (visiting Prof. [illegible] - her brother) figured tonight.
Mon 1913
Not very good weather.
Lunched with "Captain" Gridley at
Sibley's today - nice time - was
going to stay at Cro'nest, but they
didn't go to Wyoming after all. Chan not well.
Tues 1914
Felt good this a.m. Was busy
&c. Lunched accidentally with Bess
& Mary. Went to the
hippdrome tonight. Helped the boys select their
office 405 E. Ave. Bldg! Florence

us to come over tomorrow night. E. went to
