Sun 1911 A perfect October day - after such a rainy, Gloomy week! I went to Cro'nest to dinner. After a morning's reading of "The Secret Garden" Claude made oak furniture and Nana "Examined" the bees. Later she & I took the boys to South Park and had such a happy afternoon with them! The river was high & red creek full. Walk over to the Genesee St. Car & didn't get home (Holy name crowd) till about six - more reading of old "Americans" & moonlight. Not quite so "Lonesome" & as last night (but always lonesome.) Tues 1912 A gorgeous day. Lunch with Mother, bought her a hat and tonight wrote letters, trimmed hats &c. &c. Mother & "Lydia
" started conserve. Bed too late.
Wed 1913 Lunched with Florence. They are very much afraid tubercolosis and she may have to go away for the winter! Thurs 1914 Lovely day - but warm. I took a day off & went to Avon in our car with Mother, Mrs. Craig & Florence. The foliage was perfection. & the ride all charming 'xcept [illegible] & a puncture beyond Caledonia.
