16JANUARY 16 Sun. 1910
Lovely day. Letitia phoned me to come to dinner in
Miss Jones was coming so I did. Claude was just home from N.Y. &
the children
were lovely. So was she & so was Nanna. I took some pictures. She left in a limousine
(Kirstein's) at 3:30 & Claude with her (to the office) Nanna & the babies on the new sleds- & I went for a
walk & took pictures. Over at the Toboggan slide we found Mary & Nellie
Mac& they came back to Cro'nest & had coffee & then walked home with me
& came in - late supper (ice cream) & read till about 11.
Mon 1911 Claude didn't get back from
Buffalo till night wasn't awfully busy. Had some
interest- ing conversation down stairs. Mrs.
Baker
had a bad fall on the ice Saturday and Miss Brad-
shaw's step mother left - apparently for good- last
Thursday! I read "The Friendly Stars"
&
"Everybodys"
tonight. It is real cold - almost zero.
Tues 1912
Very cold - & I very
busy. Home to lunch. Went to the Hippodrome tonight.
Mother tired out - as usual after
company. Had a nice grate fire tonight & Mrs. Rowe
came over for awhile.
Thur 1913.
Not a very nice day -
"juicy". Had Cad Goler to lunch at
Sibley's
& a nice visit. Read Marguerite's
"Collier's" tonight, (G.B. on Automobiles
&c.)
Fri. 1914
Much milder. Breakfast at
8:30 & went to chapel after. Met all the Jacksons.
Then took a long arduous & beautiful walk in the woods up behind.
Rested till "tonic" and lunched. Afterward went down & called in
Mrs Edwards and then on Mrs.
Davidson (Mrs. A. Asleep) & then quite a
long call on Mrs. Rowe. Came up sewed took a
delightful massage & had a message from May
Bunnell that she couldn't come over because
she it was raining (hard) Marguerite - just in from
Rochester - phoned me too.
