139MAY 18 Wed. 1910 Rain this morning (I was caught it going down & mind old day. Cleared off with a gorgeous sunset. I saw it going out to Cottage Steel to the dress- makers! Halley's comet's tail was to wag across us tonight at 11:30 - It's now 12:30 (tomorrow) & no wipes of it yet. Mother, Mrs. Caring the Carsons & I (& hundred of others) were upon Clarissa St. bridge wasting in the cold. A gorgeous moonlight night - too light to see anything else! Thurs. 1911 Very warm. Lunched with Bess & Mary today. Sherby Murray was in & talked "art". Knew Boo Morehead &c. &c. Tonight we had a lovely picnic with a birthday cake for me in Highland Park Letitia, Henry, Chan Granma Mrs. Tappan & Jessie
! The Jap. queens (& the Thrushes) were perfect also the tulips & the lilacs almost out the children early.
Sat. 1912 Lovely day with breezy. Lunched with Margaret Bradshaw at Sibley's & then went out to see Alice & had a nice visit with her. They are still having "hot times" at the old cutler "ranch". About 4:30 went out to the Park. and way across the meadows to "Gen. Farbon" & some children came & talked to me. Then went to the barns saw sheep - a baby buns &c. Marguerite took me to "the Easiest way" tonight - (a box - party!) Sun. 1913 A lovely day. Visited Lydias
"Blue" at breakfast Got Letitia and the children & went to "Short Hills" to dinner Henry I rode on the back of the black board. Dana Dustin, [illegible] a Mrs. STacy & a man were there on horseback. We had a fine (private) dinner and a good time generally. Walked to Pittsford for the 4'oclock car. Read, ate, & invited read in the evening.
Mon. 1914 Ruth's Mother, Mrs. Kingsley, came from Syracuse to visit her today. We chatted in the evening. I went out to Amelie's with Jim this p.m. They are in the new house & are delighted with it.
