Rain this morning (I was
caught it going down & mind old day. Cleared off with a gorgeous sunset.
I saw it going out to Cottage Steel to the dress- makers!
Halley's comet's tail was to wag across us tonight at 11:30 -
It's now 12:30 (tomorrow) & no wipes of it yet. Mother, Mrs.
Caring the Carsons & I (& hundred
of others) were upon Clarissa St. bridge wasting in the
cold. A gorgeous moonlight night - too light to see anything else!

Very warm. Lunched with
Bess &
Mary today. Sherby
Murray was in & talked "art". Knew Boo
Morehead &c. &c. Tonight we had a lovely picnic with a
birthday cake for me in Highland ParkLetitia, Henry, ChanGranmaMrs. Tappan &
Jessie
! The Jap. queens (& the Thrushes) were perfect also the tulips
& the lilacs almost out the children
early.
Sat. 1912
Lovely day with breezy.
Lunched with Margaret Bradshaw at Sibley's & then went out to see
Alice & had a nice visit with her.
They are still having "hot times" at the old cutler
"ranch". About 4:30 went out to the Park.
and way across the meadows to "Gen. Farbon" & some
children came & talked to me. Then went to the barns saw sheep - a baby
buns &c. Marguerite took me to
"the Easiest way" tonight - (a box - party!)

"Blue" at breakfast Got Letitia and the children & went to "Short
Hills" to dinner Henry I rode
on the back of the black board. Dana Dustin, [illegible] a Mrs. STacy & a man were there on
horseback. We had a fine (private) dinner and a good time generally.
Walked to Pittsford
for the 4'oclock car. Read, ate, & invited read in the evening.
Mon. 1914 Ruth's Mother, Mrs. Kingsley, came
from Syracuse to visit her today. We chatted in the
evening. I went out to
Amelie's with Jim this p.m. They are in the new house & are
delighted with it.
