54FEBRUARY 23 Wed 1910 Some better as to head & throat, but very "lassitudinous" indeed! Spent the entire day on the lovely couch by the den window, reading, play- ing with the cats and watching the street cars come & go. Jack was over tonight (to borrow soup spoons) Mother went to meeting. Claude plowed. Thur 1911 Lovely day. Loafed all day (didn't feel ok) Claude spoke on the Ancient Wisdom at the Country Club this am. Henry, Chan & Nana were here to lunch & so dear! Chan told about the "much [illegible] that washed the dishes" at the Big Elm Dairy Gurdon came in this p.m. He is to leave Hayden's! Too bad. Sewed tonight & bath & bed. Mother out this p.m. We got our own supper. Fri 1912 Cleared off to a nice winter day. Came home to lunch & tonight Alice and Clarence Galloway spent the evening. Had a real nice time (grape juice & cake &c too) Meta went to Norfolk (Herma sick) guess Chan isn't to have the measles after all, but he has a cold. Sun 1913 Blizzardy, but bright. Mrs. Adams here a late breakfast & Coralyn
fainted in church, came home early & spent the most of the day on my bed. Mother & I went to Cro'nest - a nice dinner - &Henry & I walked down together & he went home alone about five - (Mrs. A. went at 4) We had a grate fire. I finished "The Happy Warrior" - up late after a long rest. (Bohachek in Boston)
