Still pouring!! But it
stopped before we start- ted after an excellent breakfast. The
Dr's wife (mil) was in the staff. The station man
checked my suit- case through. The ride up to Thurman -
from there to Warrens burg by stage & on to
Glens FallsSaratoga & Schenectady by
trolly was so beautiful tho' cloudy. Made very close connections except we
waited about half an hour at the
[illegible] hotel at W. saw Gertrude's house & the window open! at
S. got coffee & mailed letters & got dinner on
the train. Rode part way with "Lion & Mouse" company. It poured at
Utica ([illegible]) &
Syracuse - but not at R. arrived
about 7 &
Mother & cats were glad to see me!

Another nice day - & a
very busy one. Collin &
pfau here to decide on brick & CFB had 100 things to do besides & I too!
Tonight went with Clara Canaby to see Mme
Nazimova in The other Mary " - a horrible things -
like a fool there was" only worse. She was as snakily beautiful as
always & such clothes! Bed too late.

Nana took the children to the farm - it
is sold.
Thurs. 1913
Took a long walk this a.m.
Jim, Claude & the children - on their way to begin school -
over took me. I lunched with them at Sibley's this noon & Claude
took them to Canandaigua this p.m.
Jim took me out to
Carnahan's at 4:30 another for a ride the long way
home.
Highland Ave & the two parks. Read &c.

Went to the Hippodrome tonight. I has tired but
