died of pneumonia yesterday & we had just written encouragement to JG! Today was a lovely bright Easter. I took pictures of the Bride & Groom again. I went to church. This a.m. went down town for film - but Dake's was closed. Then went up & took care of two darling good little boys while "Nanna" was off for a walked & "Father" resting we took a little walk to the Park. Claude proposes to take them all to N.Y. on Thursday. Mrs. Wegman was in tonight. Read Mark Twain.
Mon 1911. April showers today. Hail in early a.m. Claude worked so hard on specifications all day. & I did too. Gurdon was in this a.m. Has been away two weeks. I dressed this noon. Went to Nan's for a shampoo tonight & then to Lura's to such a nice dinner! Chat, Helen, the Mac A's & I - pink candles & all - a nice talk afterward & late home - sat up to do accounts later yet. Wed 1912 A busy day - Home to lunch & shopped some tonight. This evening Mother covered pillows & I read "The Ladies Home Journal" (!) & then wrote to poor Edith Andrews Clark who is sick in Maine. Had Mastoid operation Thurs. 1913. Still rain which turned to snow in the night but kept up - Dayton O. & Many other cities in terrible condition. Many lives lost. Our river very high but ice is out & there is little driftwood. Fri 1914 Pouring rain, I went for the boys (as CFB was in Canandaigua) Then to Edwards to lunch (horrid!) A chilly dis- agreeable day. Read tonight. in bed. A nice new Mattress (the 2nd) from Mother!
