58FEBRUARY 27 Sun 1910 A dark rainy day. Was home all day with my cats & my blue prints & my magazines and my letters - even read old journals! Back in the Dymond period - but there were happy days with dear Ned! Mother went to Cro'nest and had such a good time with the babies & Claude & Fatherwent, to hear [illegible] & enjoyed it. I am still rather "rocky" but better than yesterday. Mon 1911 Rather blizzardy. Everyone going to the Am Ex auction today. Gurdon got a #2 Brownie Kodak for 60¢ ! His mother & I went out to Hayden's at 1:30 & he took us through. Came home early tonight to dress. G. took Alice & me to the Rochester to dinner - then went to an Everest party & Alice & I saw Mrs. Leslie Carter in "Two Women". Awfully tired when I got home. Tues. 1912 A regular blizzard. I couldn't got up - tho' I tried - moved to the den & was flat in bed all day, with dear Mother reading to me and waiting on me and being a darling as usual. She gave up a luncheon party at Cecilia's
new home. Letter from Lilla Nourse about "SE". Man the
drawing of a square
Thurs 1913. Tried to work on specifications at home but didn't succeed. Read and chatted & took a hot bath & went to bed! Fri 1914 Wild. Jim had the car out today & took CB & I home tonight (& Helen) via The Station - which everyone admires so! Henry can read splendidly - almost anything - and Chandler is the star performer at writing. They were pleased to ride home from school today.
