367DECEMBER 24 Sat 1910 Aunt Mio Caswell died this morning. Gurdon telephoned. I had a happy Xmas eve - no Cutler feeling (!) My "boss" is a dear. I worked till about 4 this pm. Then went to the Hippo. and then to Alice Bradshaw's & Davis's with packages. Had a chat with Helen (Jane Armstrong a minute!) and Francey. After supper mother & I went to Cro'nest with 24 lbs of Xmas. Kissed the babies goodnight - filled the stockings - trimmed the tree. Claude went to an Arnold Daly "[illegible] night." - Chat & Helen came later, & then Mother & I went to [illegible] & saw the tree & had coffee & cake. Then our present time after 12. Sun 1911 More rain & we almost decided not to stay over. Had Ernest at 9:30 & went to the fort to see the parade (fine - with such a drummer) to the soldiers lunch and then after a little drive to the band concert at the fort. Spent a quiet afternoon outdoors. Walked around the point beyond Millbrook. Had a long talk with Mrs. Pitman on the Millbrook piazza at evening. The children dined in their rooms & went night to sleep. We hung & filled their stockings. Later helped trim Irvings Christian tree. Tues 1912 Rather dull at the office. I got a present of $10 & my salary raised from the firm! Mr. Sterntook Mother & James & me in his electric to distribute things. Left us at Davis' - where we had a time visit. Hamilton & Mlilie went to Meaford. Helen just home. CFB's on evening. Wed 1913 Rode home in the auto (carrying flowers &c) Letitia just leaving. Was very hot & feverish with grippe "used up". Got up later & undid a lot of presents with Mother (I got lots of pink things, as usual !) Thurs 1914 Lovely soft snowy day. Lunched late & went home early. To Claude's about 5:15 with bags of presents. The child- ren were angels & we had a nice dinner ("Thomas" to wait) and then lots of presents around the fire. The boys were delighted with their "vitages". We all got such nice things, E. & C. were dears. When Mother & I got home we undid loads of other things. took some flashlights.
