but as they confined most of their efforts - (including the trunk) to one
carriage & the bride & groom hopped into another, the joke was on
Frieda & Theo, who rode in the trimmed one! Donald
was too funny. He was so excited. He said "Aunt
Herma, when's your
waggin commin'?" Little Margaret
brought Mother some wedding cake
afterward & said "It would have been a very nice wedding only Gro'pa cried!"
(She cried 3 times herself!) Claude was
here to dinner and when he went up- stairs for a nap I went to the attic &
indexed prints. Then I took a walk (for I had to have my cry out - thinking of
a year ago) & then took the car to
Cro'nest where I read Kipling's new
Story in Colliers to Claude,
& I met Miss Goodrich, but was too late for the babies.
Then I came home and Claude
dressed & went to Adelaide Lindsay's coming-out party
at the Club.

day pleasant) I got a cold yesterday tho' - putting on this clothes for the
wedding I suppose. Went to our church with Mother tonight to here Mr. Cronise give an illustrated
lecture on India - very interesting, too.
