Apr. 24 Sat. Cold & bright. Tonight Lura, Mrs. Baker, Chat, Mother & I went to Duffy's to a dinner & "sing" & had a very nice time (Dossenbach) from 6 to 8. Then went to Convention Hall

to the Society Circus, which was good fine. They tried to "arrest" J.G. but he gave them ten dollars & they didn't. Charlotte Whitney "walked the tight rope" & danced - the angle girl was the "lion tamer". Janet Cory rode her pony dressed as a monkey &c. &c. There were balloons & pink lemonade& it it was all quite nice. Not a large crowd. Apr. 25 Sun. Dark morning. Made prints. Mae Stull 'phoned me to come up to dinner so I did & had such a nice time & nice visit with her & John as always. They have sold their auto to Dr. Hardenbrook. They admire Claude & love their house
&c. &c. About 3 went over to Maple St. to try & get a girl, with Mae, then we both went up to Cro'nest. Mother was there & we took Henry walking in the woods. He & Channy were very cute. Letitia brought them a baloon from the circus and May some black "pussy"! (little catsheads) They were darlings. We all walked down here & Mae combed her hair & then went down town to meet John for supper.
