Busy. Shopped till nearly seven & kept busy all evening. Stores are very
attractive.

Fine winter day, but got dark early,
Edith came over this p.m. & we sat by
fire & talked a long time - planning our "Perfects Ball" &c. Went over to Lura's tonight to call on
Florence Penfield (Marie
phoned me to come) Stopped at the Frank D's
to inquire for Hamilton - who had a
boil on his hand. Mrs. P. very entertaining.

Fine winter morning - Miss F, Miss B. & I went into the "Spanish War Veteran's" Fair
tonight. Made blotters all the evening - (for Xmas)
Amelie phoned, inviting me up but I didn't go
Dec. 3 Tues.Miss F & I went to the "Bijou
Dream" this eve. to see a morning picture of the
Thanksgiving football game. Papa read
aloud tonight & I fussed with Xmas things
Dec 4. Wed.Father got up at midnight last night & dressed fully &
fixed the kitchen fire etc. thinking it was morning! Mother
got partly dressed too - Snowstorm this noon
Dec. 5 Thurs.
Went to the Hospital Donation to lunch today - also bought a
basket there for
Chattie's birthday - Saw Char, Susie Hoyt,
Mrs. J. W. &c. &c. &c. Went with
Edith to the
Samovar tonight to arrange with Miss
Hall for our party - played "Numerica" later.
Dec. 6. Fri.
Lunched with Papa at Sibley's and shopped. Am deep in "The Fruit of
the Tree" (Edith Wharton)
