Dustin was in about the same fix later. But it was fine - & so beautiful. I had
on my winter ulster. Bridgman
made a pretty landing - or
rather "harboring" & we walked up & down the dock to keep our blood
circulating, while he stowed away things in the boat house. We stopped at the
house a few minutes - but got the 6 o'clock car home - soaking on the way home
we saw a hail & thunder storm - in the distance. I went straight for a hot
bath & then half an hour's cozy rest in a woolly bath-robe & then had
hot chocolate & toast felt fine. None of us got cold.
Spt. 27-8 Mon.-Tue.
Nothing doing but "pictures". Went to the
Hippodrome with Miss F. to
see Hudson-Fulton pictures.
Sept 29 Wed.
Went down on Clinton St. - to
Goldman's
- with Mother to order a broadcloth suit at noon. In the evening Edna (Vickery) Wilkinson - her husband "George" (whom I had never seen)
Marion & Lois and Reba
came & spent the evening. Mother at
prayer meeting but came late.
Sept. 30 Thurs.

from Eo to spend the last day of it at
Troy (Gertrude too). Friday cold.
