"Kit" down "Walt" & nearly everyone else had gone to a grange picnic at
the point so that we had a nice visit with "Ma" & the place almost to ourselves. We tried new phonograph
records & had a fine supper & "Ma" told me a funny story about their "Field Day"
& gave me a poem about it &c. &c. She also presented me with a
delicious jar of "Godleer"
peanut butter. We came home by
moonlight & all enjoyed it
Aug 1. SunMy big Boy's birthday. I gave him a purple
& green white bath robe which he liked. We took some pictures - tho' it
was very bright squinty sun. This morning I took some more
"Camera contest" pictures down here at home & some with
Meta's camera too. Up at Cro'nest we had a nice time with our boy. Father & Mother
came up too and later Adeline & Henry & I went to the park & saw the
fishes &c.
Adeline Ruliffson is such a nice little Eight - and - a half -
year old & my
Hemeny grown so interesting & so talkative!
Aug 1-2 Mon-Tues
Lovely Weather. Tues. morning - while I was in Claude's office, a telegram came from Fred saying dear Mrs. Wilkinson
died peacefully this morning - It seemed very sudden for Claude had a lovely birth- day letter from her
Sunday. He went to
Briar-Cliff tonight. - Poor Little Kathie.
