Still lovely weather. Finished my book late Wed. night. Today Martha Siemer
came in. She is most attractive. Has three children. Phyllis
1 1/2. We walked up to Plymouth Park together. An
ideal day - wrote tonight.

A Rainy morning. Spent the afternoon with my nephew who is certainly a
little peach - Crawls all around and stands up

A dark day. Emerich & Schanck both
here. To bed early with a bad cold.
Oct. 29. Tues.
Lunched with Papa at Sibley's today. Tonight went (very suddenly) to
"His Honor the Mayor"
with Edith. The Mac- Arthurs were
there too. It was about the worst show I ever heard or saw

Just about sick with a cold - Lazy all day - Martha came in & visited.
Oct. 31. Thurs.
Lunched at the Samovar with the girls
(Bess & Marie) and then went & bought a pretty oak book case for
Father, Mother
& me to give Char & Claude for a wooden wedding present. Tonight read

character with Grapho's book.
