Mar. 6 Fri. An awful day as to weather. Cold wet slushy rainy snow. Henry 18 mos. old & couldn't possibly get out to be weighed & has outgrown the house scales. Lunched at Sibley's - shopped and in the evening bowled. Miss Bradshaw made 141! We were quite overcome- She beat even the boys - Mr. Flack isn't going to stay in Kettle Falls. Nice letters from Alice Wolfe. Mar. 7. Sat. Down town all day again. Lunched at Sibley's with Bess & Mame. Wrote 26 pages of dictation before 5:10 (16 of it had two carbon copies & didn't go!) Then had supper at Sibley's went to the Bijou and finally to Nan Conolly's & she brushed my hair. Then I looked in a Duffy's & came home tired. Mar. 8 Sun.

Chandler 11 lbs 12 weeks
Meta came over awhile this morning. I was busy as usual. This afternoon we all went up to Cro'nest. Father, Mother and I and I tried to take some pictures of the little family but there was considerable moving going on and we forgot all about pulling down Chandler's blanket in our excitement. Later, I went home & read. Mar. 9. Mon. Dark day. Lura is having her troubles, but she went to the Elks Minstrels with me tonight. They are having a time with Frank Trappe who is being sued and so on (all thro' Mrs. Penfield, too) Mar. 10 Tues. Busy day. Lunched with Mother at Duffy's and went to the bank &c. Tonight went down to Edith's to take my "glad rags" to put in her trunk. Begin to feel quite enthusiastic about going to New York. Nice weather here.
