Lunched with dear Mother at Sibley's
& we had a nice visit with Lura after-
wards. I forgot & say that I took Alice
there, & to Claude's office on Monday
p.m.
Jan. 22, Fri.
Fine mild day. About 60º. Window open most of the day. Lunched at
Cafetaria & called on Chattie. Bishop McQuaid's funeral.
J.G. was an honorary bearer & gone nearly all day.
Marguerite was over tonight.
Jan. 23. Sat.
Rained hard all night & a good share of the day. Home to dinner, but
tonight went to Duffy's where I met
Mary Belle
And her sister "Hully" & Bess & Frances
& we all had a nice dinner together & a lovely Dossenbach
concert from six to eight. Then were
jolly & we laughed a good deal & enjoyed each other's jokes. There we
went to Baker's & saw "The House
of the 1000 candles"
- very good The girls caught their 11 p.m.
Fairport
car & "Hully" invited me out. Senator &
Mrs. Armstrong & a party did as we did (Duffy & Baker)

A very mild day & every smitch of snow gone. Went to Claude's to dinner. He is leaving tonight for
N.Y.Henry had been to Mrs. Hoyt's & slept till after 3! He &
Chandler & I sat in the sun on the
