Nov. 3. Tues. Dear Char's & Claude's wedding day - 6 years. Election Day too - & beautiful. We had the afternoon & Mother & I went up to Cro'nest to kiss the babies - (Claude & J.W.C. were at Mrs. Danforth's to lunch) & then went to Summerville to see where the big fire of Saturday was - 40 cottages were burned! Got back in the edge of the evening & found Papa waiting & all went to McIntosh & Field's to supper & then over to Convention Hall

to watch the "Returns". It was a Post-Express affair & very nice. 54th Regt. Band and all. Sat between Esther Warrington Leggitt & her husband & Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Bacon & had nice visits. About 10:30 Papa went to the Post-Express office & Mother & I to the Rochester where we spent about half an hour in Chattie & Lura's room opposite a bulletin. Kittie C. & Nellie Mac were there too. Awfully tired. Nov. 4. Wed. I was so "tired" I forgot to say that Taft & Hughes were magnificently elected and I won a dollar from Withall on Hughes! & treated the "Wednesday Club" at Guilford's tonight. Very raw & cold. Took the car to keep warm. Nov 6. Fri. Lunched with Bess & Mame at Cafetaria & shopped. Both tonight & last night Papa read Collier's aloud to us & I sewed. Fixed green skirt to wear more!
