Then crossed the clearing to the highest bluff & lay an hour on its top -
under a big tree looking at beautiful blue Ontario. Saw the
two eagles again, which we saw yesterday. Finally we had to go back for dinner
(just in time) & afterward packed. The Bridegroom
called, with a gun, to
say goodbye. When we got all ready we went up to the house & were sitting
in the rocking - chair circle, talking when Mr. Batsford came
& took a 5x7 picture of us all & the house.
Mr. Huerter started the goodbyes & everyone bade us an
affectionate one & went off to fish or something - We walked with the
Batsfords down the lane & just got back in time to eat
some cookies before the carriage came. Had a nice drive back with
Michell. It was a pretty time of day (we were just catching
the 5:58 train) I left just before Trudy
& the sunset coming home was lovely. I finished my book. Dear Mother met me at the Station & my
late supper tasted good!

Busy at the office again & with pictures &c. news of North Pole
discovered. Cook. cool. Lura
home after a good time too.

Very busy with JWC. To Cro'nest to see my dearest babies
