Jan 4. Tonight, Father, Mother & I went to church & heard a nice stereoptican lecture on "Spain" by Dr. Clark a friend of the Buells - (Mrs. B.

sat behind us) Jan. 5-9 Tues-Sat. It has been quite cold & wintry - at last. Lunched at Sibley's with Bess & Mary Tuesday & at their office on Friday & then went up with them to Sibley's to buy Mary a dress. (dark green - made something like mine) Alice Wolfe is coming & poor Trudy has got to move her Oswego family again. Sat up one night till 12! Getting out a cut-up puzzle picture Mae Stull lent me. Marguerite says Dansville is crazy over them too. Mr. Behn has taken to his bed at last & is very sick - requiring poor Meta's services all the time she can keep awake. We have had our pay day changed to Friday (from Saturday) & all paid up to Thursday night now. Which made us all "shy" last week two days - much to our distress. It is one of the features of the new Trust - or consolidation with the Automatic Mail Delivery Co.

- but I think they are nearly if not quite - as smart as we are & Mr. Frank E. Anderson is a very clever business man.
