& the children for a long drive this p.m. I had a session with
Dr. Scrantonhalf the afternoon (seven dollars!)See 24. Saw
Nellie Mac. too. Wrote in evening.

Dined at Cafetaria with girls & went to
Hippodrome (!) Helped J.G. today. (He needed it)
Oct. 24. Sat.
Worked hard. Rained this p.m. The boys disappeared at ball game.
Flack
came up from Buffalo & wanted us to go over &
bowl, but when we got there there were no alleys. Went to Sibley's
& dined Mother &Miss G. to music. It was nice, but sloppy walking
later.
Oct 25. Sun.Lovely day. Everybody but me went to church. Letitia brought the babies down this p.m. I went up
to meet her. Henry & his little red
basket & his chestnut. They were dears. Later went
over to Davis's
& had a lovely supper (Spanish Omelette) and Chattie read Emery Pottle's "Unex- pected
Guest" out of the Harper's Italian story.
