Sept. 23. Thurs. Hot again but Letitia felt better. I brought Bunchy-boy down to breakfast with me. He staid all day - & all night in Aunt Maisie's room (as there was a hard storm this p.m) We had a romp before bedtime and lots of fun. He is the dearest Boy. Sept. 24 Fri. Fair & cool & fine. To Sibley's with the girls this noon & then get my winter hat. In the evening went to Mrs. Shone's with Klemmy Goodyear & looked & talked pictures. She gave me some & promised me more & I promised her some. She lives with her Mother in a nice little flat opposite No. 23 School. Lots of "Charlie" pictures. Sept 25 Sat. Cool. Rain in the morning. Claude home. A nice letter from Trudy & one from Alice Wolfe. Sept. 26 Sun. Rain & cold in early morning & it looked dubious especially as I had queer acting tooth, but we all promised to go to Bridgeman's.
So took the 9 o'clock trolley with Miss McA,
Hanna,
Mr. & Miss Flack, Mr. Dustin (their friends) & Alice Bradshaw. It cleared off & was lovely - with most picturesque clouds all day - & thunder showers at the other end of the lake.
Stopped at Bridgeman's
mother's & got baskets of lunch &c. & two fresh apple pies she had made & at the dock took their nice sail boat "The Breeze" & sailed up to Cottage City
(about 6 miles) in a "ladies' breeze". Looked at things with field glasses - joked, took pictures &c. Arrived there about noon & had to break into the house because the bridegroom
