Mar. 31. Wed. N.H. to teach the rest of the year. Starts today. Fine spring weather at last! Apr. 1 Thurs. Mr. Harper
announces his engagement - to May Dimmich
- Wedding 3 weeks from today! Apr. 2. Fri. Rain today. Claude went to Boston to make a speech before a Sketch Club Saturday. Apr. 3 Sat. Cleaning in p.m. Mary
called to ask me to go to Buffalo with them tomorrow. Went up to see my dear babies at 5 & watched them to bed. Apr. 4 Sun. Cloudy in a.m. but cleared off beautifully. We took the 9:13 which was a little late. Sat with a theatrical crowd & reached Buffalo about 11:30. Bess went right off to see her new nephew, but Mary
& I went out to Albright library & found it closed (as I tho't likely, although the man in the station said not) we wandered around the park in the lovely sunshine trying to find the Zoo. Met a funny old man who tried to show us & got hopelessly lost (I was steering right all the time) We got very muddy, but had a good time. Went back down town to Statler's restaurant & had a very good dinner (down stairs) & then back to the library, which was open. The pictures
were wonderful & most of them charming. Some fine portraits. The King, the Prince of the Asturias - an old photo- grapher (& a young one) & a Spanish noble man, especially. Also Mr. Kurtz, the curator of the Library - who died
