I forgot to say that yesterday I had such a nice talk with Uncle Harry in the building. He's a dear and so helpful to Claude. He and all of them are so pleased with Chandler's name. He went last night, Jim going to the station with him. I talked with Jo tonight upstairs, while Geo.

was there. Then we went down and chatted but were much depressed. Had a good supper and feel better. I left immediately. Claude was writing a long letter to Burgess. He has about a hundred cards and letters - some of them so fine. Burgess, Dr. Millard, Dr. Taylor, Rush Rhees, Mrs. Montgomery, Mrs. Little, Mr. Mason, a lot Char's out of town friends, Miss Huntington Edmunn
&c. &c. &c. my brain is in a whirl and I can't think of them. John Strong is another minister who called - and Paul Strayer. Tonight I have been writing, while a week ago nor little Chandler was beginning to live for us. Dec. 23.-24 Monday & Tuesday A fine day as to weather- Mond Tuesday, but horrid rain Monday. This Christmas Eve I went up to Cro'nest with some things - one of them a little stocking for Henry to hang up, from Aunt Trudy - We hung it up & put in some things. Afterward, when I got home Father, Mother & I sat by the library table and we did most of our presents. Some dear ones
