2/29/08 "Irene Wycherly"
Feb. 28 Fri. Lunched with Bess & Mame at Sibley's to- day. Bowled with the "Fuzzy muzzles" tonight actually made 101 & was quite cocky. Feb. 29. Sat. "Brite & Fare." Went to Scrantom's on the way home and this evening with Eugenia
(CFB's) to "Irene Wycherly"
Viola Allen - it was quite beautifully done tho'- a harrowing play - and other old friends in the cast. Paul Mac Allister Nellie Thorne, Marie Wainwright, Edwin Arden &c. Mar. 1. Sun.
11 wks Chandler 10:10
A funny day as to weather. Sleety snow &c. Dined with dear Claude and little Henry. He walks quite a bit and is perfectly hilarious when he stands! (whether he bumps his head on the table or not!) Letitia brought Baby brother down for me to hold. He's so strong and dear and a dimple in his chin like Charlotte's. Claude to Mrs. Watson's tonight.
Chand. 10.10.
Mar. 2 Mon. Rain & mist. March weather. Late house. Read "Doll's House"
(borrowed of Theo) aloud &c Mar. 4. Wed. Bright and sloppy. Lunched with Mother at Sibley's and then she & Mrs. Baker whom she invited, went to see Margaret Anglin in "Helena Ritchie."
They were so delighted Lura & I went (up top) in the evening. I went home to dinner with Lura. It was very good, but I was a trifle dis- appointed in Helena & David was a size too big. Mar. 5 Thurs. Bright and sloppy. Had a treat tonight Alla Nazimova in "The Doll's House,"
I went with Lura & Nellie Mac & Bess & Mame sat next & Amelie & Herma opposite. Went & came with them, stopping at Whittle's. A fine audience
