interesting. Reba - no
Rhea
somebody called and "Marie". Willard
Morris passed but didn't see us (not knowing either of us was in
town). After a very delicious dinner
Dr. and I (on the front seat) and Mother and
Mrs. A. (on the back) started on a most delight-
ful ride. About 28 miles, I made it by the map. First up Stone's
Falls way to Joe Burgesse's farm. Saw his wife
and three children. The oldest a hand- some boy. Then around a pretty little
valley (where we got cherries & saw lovely roadside flowers &c.) and over
the high road to
Perkinsville. Then up to Loon Lake - where we
got out and had things to drink &c. It's a pretty little lake, but too
high now. Then over thro'
Wayland most picturesquely thro' "Poke O'
Moonshine" and so on down the big hill (which Mrs. A & I walked) back of Sky Farm and down to
D. arriving after eight o'clock. Charles Willard
was there - with an invitation to Topcol. So after supper he
& Edith & I walked up and called on
May and Albert
