with AKC) and this morning J.W. & wife went to N.Y. This p.m. I got Charlotte & we went to see Pen- dexter's new play at the Baker. It was pretty dreary. Lunched with Bess, Mame & Edith at the Samovar

yesterday. Have taken my meals downtown all this week - mostly Cafeteria, but several other places. Home nights! Mrs. B. & Lura have rented their flat, furnished, for 6 mos. from May! and are going up to Davises &c. &c. Apr. 26 Sunday
Chandler 14 lbs
A lovely morning - I walked up to Cro'nest and found everybody out doors - Took Chandler, with Letitia, three times, and Uncle Harry with Henry - also Claude & when Jim came all of them. Harry told us about Bermuda & was very enter- taining - we sat out doors. In the after- noon I telephoned Lura & we went to Nellie Mac's & stayed a long time. I went home to Lura's to supper. The last till fall in their flat. Harry went home Apr. 27 Mon. sick this morning - quite worried about himself - Claude has a cold, too. Apr. 28-29. Tues-Wed Mother some better - Lunch downtown Read nights &c. Papa's 71st- birthday (29th) Apr 30 Thurs. A hard snow storm - everything covered, Miss Mc. A.
went to N.Y. in a terrible storm tonight.

I came home this noon (weepy) Mother far from well.
