talking &c. and then strolled down to the National Theatre and spent an hour listening & looking at the talking moving pictures - quite amusing. Then I rode up and got dressed (in white) and went up to Claude's. Claude, Kath, Jo, Harry & Henry were out on the lawn & Letitia & Chandler came soon. I never saw Henry more charming. He knows me so well and smiles at me so sweetly. He had some bread and butter which he liked very much. Miss Rogers

came - with Elbert Newton and Mr. Stern and Adelaide Crapsey, who is most picturesque. We had a perfectly delightful - time (Mae came too.) It finally looked so much like rain we went inside & there was a hard shower and a beautiful clearing off. Talked with Miss B.
whom I admire immensely. After they went Jo wanted the Wilks and me to stay to tea - so we did - on the piazza. Harry & Carl had steak but the rest of us "the leavings" - sandwiches, iced tea &c. Then we went inside & had a nice talk & Kath read Miss Le Bourgonir hand- writings. Finally Harry walked down with me and Kath & Mal took the car. Kath, Jo, Miss R.

go to Niagara, Matie later. Buffalo and Toronto tomorrow for a few days. Jack
came in & talked. Last night Meta brought in two of the sweetest kittens. A yellow one and a black one. She's to have them.
