Chattie, Mabel, Nellie, Edith & Kitty Crichton & all lunched together. The others went on a further bat - but I took the 2:10 Erie to Conesus & so on up to "Wayback" (arrived after four & landed on "the Wreck of the Maine") near Holmes'. Mr. W. & Charles have a steamer pier nearly done. We had a nice visit (Mate, Dem, Chas & I mostly) this p.m. A rather late supper & then Chas took Dem & me out on the

lake - way out into the middle - a beautiful evening & night. We came in for the family bonfire - a fine one - The "AO's" were there & "Morsel" the kitten. Was so sleepy I had to go to bed when we came in (after 10) tho' Chas wanted to play bridge. July 26 Sun.

A lovely morning. Had a fine night's sleep in the cool s.w. room. Breakfast about nine & a nice talk on the cool piazza, with "A.O.", Mate & Frank, Charles fished on the end of the dock in the broiling sun for hours (4 rock bass!) We had a call at the Sanctum later, but Mrs. A.O.
isn't a finished hostess - a late chicken dinner - some music, a walk to Holmes &c. Mate told me a lot about Helen Sayles. I left about 5, after maneuvering from dock to dock it was rather fun, too & finally leaving my new light coat, which a girl brought on for me! A hot ride
