at Dr. Bissell's (waiting) about a little inflammation on
his eye. Letitia home & fine. Went up to
the bridge to see the airship but it didn't go. Trudy came home about 8 & we had a nice late supper again.
July 7. Wed.
Still fine. Went up to Highland Park
& Trudy & Mother brought our supper up there - we staid till
& after sunset & stopped at Cro'nest going home, for a little visit with Claude & Jo.
Rode home.
July 8. Thurs.
Still fine! Lura quite purturbed about
her Florence Penfield outfit troubles! She
& the MacArthurs & Mabel came up tonight & we had a jolly time till
11:15. Mabel gave some monologues
& we had strawberry sherbet & were all sore from laughing by bed time.
July 8. Fri.
Fine. Trudy left for
Oswego. I went to the "Circus Girl" with
Mary - sat down stairs & saw the 3
Rogers girls & the Lew Jonses. It was very good.
July 10 Sat.
Warm & Muggy. Looked like rain, but didn't. Mother &
I went to the park (via.
So Ave.) about 4. Dorothy
& Mrs.
Shannon, our neighbors - went too. We met Mary Dickens
& had supper there & then went down on the shore to see the water fete
- which was indescribably beautiful - lanterns in all the trees & bushes -
& strung across the river & bridges - a float all illumin- ated &
all the club houses do. Hundreds of canoes & launches - & a full hundred
I should say, decorated most elaborately
