Nov. 15 Mon.
Lovely & warm. Rain later - sat by an open window all day. Mother & I went to see Wilton
Lackeye in the "Battle" at the National
tonight - good.
Nov. 16 Tues.
Still warm but rainy. Lunch alone, & Hippo
at noon ("Hippo" means "Hippodrome" -
the best moving pictures show in town - an amusement which never loses its
wonder- ful fascination for me - in clean nice pictures such as they almost
always have there.)
Mrs. Baker was here this p.m. and
Lura went home with me. So we had a nice
supper together and played a couple of games of "flinch" later.
Nov. 17. Wed.
Rain & snow & horrid. Lunched with Mother,
Mrs. Baker & Lura
at Sibley's. Mother went to Edith Chrisp's to
a "special meeting" of the
Autumn Chapter. Began "It never can happen
again."
Nov. 18. Thurs.
Dark, cold, rainy & snowy. Our cats very cute.
We've had them a month & they weigh 2 lb. 6 oz. & 2 lbs. 8 oz. (gained from
1.12 & 1.14) They are dears.
Nov. 19. Fri.
Lovely - warmer. Lunched with girls at Sibley's
& Mary-Belle walked over to the
YWCA
sale with me. Saw Mother & her associates
& jollied Pearl Crawley & the
Baetzels & tonight went over & had supper there with
the
Bakers &c. Mary &
Nellie & the other Macs
there too. Later we went to the entertain- ment (University dramatics) &
heard
Guernsey Curtis
sing (& talked to him) & went home tired.
Nov. 20. Sat.
Warmer. Went to Hippo - & shopped tonight & met
Hamilton & Milly in Sibley's and had a
long talk, & then some ice cream &c.
