birthday) and the other two were bad. He isn't very well. Took a wintry walk
with Mrs. Crothers
over into the park.
Nov. 16 Mon.Charlotte Davis very sick indeed - first
pleurisy, then pneumonia & now they are afraid of typhoid. Went over to
Herma's
tonight to see her trousseau which
is lovely - two very beautiful Miss Monigan
gowns, especially - the wedding dress and a "Catawba" silk with silver net.
&c. Loads of linen & hand embroidered monograms &c. &c. She
looks very pretty in her embroidered pink gown - with lots of hair. (Good punch too)
Nov. 17 Tues.
Gloomy weather. Chattie better. Made
lavender letters for the Autumn Chapter booth
YWCA.
Nov. 18 Wed.
A very dark day. Went out to our new factory this p.m. & don't want to move there (tho' its nice) a busy p.m. Stopped
at Convention Hall
Lura & I went again at noon evening to help with the Autumn booth.
Nov. 19 Thurs.
This is the day of the Y.W.C.A. sale.
Mother there all day. I went at noon &
dined with young Mrs. Arnold & her stepmother - saw

& Mrs. Hebbard &c. &c. Didn't feel very
well at night, so didn't
