It is changed since I was there - with the big McGuire-wood house built across the way & lots of other such things. June 29 Tues. Lovely day at last. Lunched at Sibley's with Trudy & Edith. This evening we went (with Mary) to "The Gay Lord Quex"
at Lyceum. June 30 Wed. Warm again. We went down to Edith's tonight (Button's) All the boarders were out on the piazza & I leaned against the rotten old railing & broke it. Freddie Cross Wallace came later. Quite mature & matronly but still traces of the old Frederica. We had a nice chat in the glorious moonlight - but Miss Hosey was there every minute. I wonder why? Freddie makes me rather blue. July 1 Thurs. Lovely day & circus day at that Ringley's. There were 27 Elephants & about 18 camels. Lura & I went down on the street to see it. Claude took 3 children "Roddy" - "Ear-l" & the sister. Father read tonight & we sewed. July 2 Fri. Cooler & cloudy. Florence Penfield is here, making a convenience of Lura, I think. Trudy & I lunched a Duffy's with Mary Dickens & her Sister "Hully" Relyea
G. wore her new linen suit. Tonight Meta was over. July 3 Sat. It rained last night & was fine today, but I was about used up. This p.m. after taking a picture, Trudy & I went to Cro'nest and saw Hemeny & Channie (in the "big" house and "little" house) - for Claude had gone to see "The Gay Lord Quex". Then we went out to the Park (G.V.) & heard the band
