May 12 Wed. Much pleasanter. Little O'Grady (Lynch) baby died down the street. We all feel so sorry. May 13 Thurs. Warm & showery. Went to Mary

's about 5:30 for a little call & later to the Hippodrome & to have ice cream. Played flinch with K.E.B. later. May 14 Friday Fine bright day. Lunched in a hurry with Bess & Mame. To dentist's milliner's &c. Alicia & I stopped at the Seneca tonight (on Jno. Frey's invitation) to see the tables set for Dr. Barbour's

banquet. He is to leave the Lake Ave. church.
May 15 Sat. Busy. Hippo. & Reed's tonight. Chattie & Lura came over in the evening & we didMargue- rite's Syracuse puzzles. Just as they began to think of going a bad thunder storm came up & they phoned for a taxicab which didn't come till after 11:30. Meantime Father had gone to bed sick with a bad pain & Mother 'phoned Dr. Neefus
& he sent Dr. Perrin (later yet) & he said it was pleurisy & doctored him & it was late when Mother & I got to bed. May 16 Sun. My birthday - a gold watch! From Mother & Claude (the money) a table (and) from Father & lots of other things - including soap & glasses case from Channie & Hemeny. Father sick all day & the Dr. here again. The first Dr. he has had since 1873!!! Minnie brought the children down to see their Aunt Maisie this a.m. (Hemeny came ahead with Father) and I went *up there to dinner. We took some pictures but I didn't stay so very long.
