Went to Mary Ward's on an errand for
Mother tonight & on down to the
National
where they have moving pictures with phonograph attachment - very wonderful.
June 3. Wed.
Still beautiful. Went to Cro'nest tonight
& saw my dear boys going "bye-bye" in their nighties. Chandler grabbing his feet & Henry putting his in C's mouth! They were simply irresistible. Supped with C in the piazza & had a nice chat. Walked down
& found Lura & Chattie here!! They'd been seeing Helen off for Asheville N.C.
June 4 Thurs.
Fine June weather. Claude sent a
carriage with Letitia, Eugenia
& the babies & Mother
took them to call on Frances & Lilian. Mrs. D.
& Mrs. Olin
were there too. I lunched with B. &
M.
on Sibley's roof garden & went hat-
hunting for Mother - or rather, home to take
her.
June 5. Fri
Still fine. Nan brushed my hair this
noon. Mary Ryan has just moved in our buildings. Read
Theosophy tonight and talked it with Claude who called late.
June 6 Sat.
Warmer. Lunched at Samovar with
Edith & then went to South Park with her & sat under a tree. It
promised well & was pretty, but I got so used up
& hot I came home & took my clothes off & slept till 7:45. Our 1st holiday.
