10/30 "Girls".
Oct. 29 Thurs. Walked down with Marguerite Rowe. To dentists a little while at noon & then to Sibley's to eat. Began reading "Terence" again tonight (in bed!) Oct. 30 Fri. Miss Garfield left this a.m. Mother going to Charlotte with her. Then she met me & we lunched at the Cafetaria and shopped. Selecting a nice little mission rocker for Henny-penny for his Father's & Mother's Wedding Day. Oct 31 Sat. A sort of dreary day. Taft
here tonight & Papa went. I was home late after shopping &c. Claude came in on his way to the Alembic Club
& told about the nice little Hallowe'en party Henry had with a real jack-a-lantern & some little girls. Nov. 1 Sun.
Chandler 46 w.
Fine day. Henry was in brown & sweet. I tried to take his picture with his Father. Went to Bess & Marie's to return some books & found them busy with campaign documents to send out. Walked across the river (Rochester's lovely!) and up to Edith's new blue & white boarding house room. Had quite an interesting time. Met a Miss Hosly (?) Edith's friend who is interested in astrology & wears a red waist because Mars does something today - Is from Staten Island but Mr. McKelvey's (?) stenographer. Had supper there & they walked partway up with me. Poor little E.. I don't like boarding houses! Nov 2. Mon. Nice day, shopped some. Went with Father up to Claude's tonight to hear Mr Cooper
on Theosophy. Quite a company & interesting discussion. Dr. Little, Dr. Witherspoon, Dr. Jewett. & others late.
