Beautiful day. Henry, Chandler, Letitia
& Mother drove to the Cutler Bldg. &c. Henry
had his hair cut (& howled!) He looked cunning in his little brown
sweater. Tho' everybody fell in love with Chandler. Tonight as I came up there was a bad fire in the
Snow Wire Works store.
Oct 6. Tues.Lovely. Am reading "Cy Whittaker's place" by
Lincoln - very good too.
Oct 7. Wed.
Still fine. Herbert Caswell called &
spent the evening. Big Republican parade on Ply.

Addressed circulars tonight at the office with Alice & Ella
- after supper at Manhattan.
Oct. 9 Fri.
Went to Nan's & had a shampoo. She
did my hair up very effectively with a "rat" (behind) I wore it to the theatre
tonight a first night of Gillett in "Samson"
Claude went with me & we sat down in
front. It was beautifully done by a fine company & the play was good. I
enjoyed it very much. We walked home in the moonlight. The Universalist
Church
was dedicated tonight and I went in to see it. I'm proud of my brother!

A perfect October day. We didn't go to the
horse show, however. Meta
invited me two weeks ago, but Mr. Behn
is too sick to leave. Had a nice time lunching with Bob & Mame
at noon and they went to Canandaigua.
