Kicking & crowing. Went over to Davis'
later - but didn't have a very good time. Frances was there & sweet but getting a bit spoiled. They go to
Canada this week.

Very hot. Lunched alone at Cafeteria. Read

tonight. The house being painted.
June 9. Tues.Mother came down & we lunched at
Duffy's with Bess &
Mame. Tonight called on Dolores
, then on Marguerite and then read.
June 10 Wed.
Lovely June weather. Went to Miss Sibley's
for Mother and then stopped at Chapin's
to 'phone & had quite a visit with them &
Miss Hitchcock & Mrs. Santee. Tonight went
to "The Fortune Teller" with Lura & Marie.
June 11. Thurs.
Lovely. Lunched (accidentally) with Mary Little at
Sibley's. She's so nice. Saw about
Mother's bonnet. Herbert Caswell
called tonight (tho' the rooms were all topsy-turvy) & we had a nice long
visit.
June 12 Fri.
Fine. Went to Cro'nest to supper. Jo
came yesterday. Had a nice visit with them.
June 13. Sat.
The less said about this half holiday the better.
Painted chairs & floors. Helped settle parlor &c. &c. Mother, Mary
, Father & I all used up by
night "settling" for Sunday.
