bottle & Henry getting bathed - the
little darling.
Mon. Sept. 28
Cooler & rain at last this p.m. Just when I
wanted to dress up to go with Claude
to see Isadora Duncan - the beautiful dancer - who does
everything - Chopin!
Offenbach &c. &c. - almost with nothing on - too - but very
beautiful indeed. Saw Dr. Daly & Belle Rogers there & many others. Len
Allen sat opposite & told us about old man
Stein telling them on his death bed to "Do it for Rochester"
When they wanted an operation &c. &c. Claude
also told me about the old garbage collector at the lake who said the
Whitneys had "the swellest swill" on the beach! Went
into the Seneca afterward, where we saw
Elbert Newton & Mr. Stern - also
Hy. Strong &c. Went thro' Whitcomb house
lobby & walked down behind "The Gibson Girls" from
Cook's.
Amelie rode up in the car with us & the
Steinhausens.
Sept. 29 Tues.
Cooler. Mother went to Mt.
Morris to the missionary meeting & had a nice time
with Dansville people &c. I lunched with
Bertha Gutman at Sibley's. Papa &
Claude went to a Theosophical reading.
Sept. 30 Wed.Chandler creeps! Quite cool. Reg
Flack
brought his California pictures up tonight.
Ethel came too. We had a pleasant chat.
Oct. 1 Thurs.
Cool. Wore my winter suit to Davis'
tonight. Helen there & Ralph
Webster (part of the time) had a nice visit & stayed rather
late. Helen told about Mary & N.Y.
bottle & Henry getting bathed - the
little darling.
