Cooler & cloudy. Mrs. Baker went up to
Cro'nest with
Mother & then home to
supper with her & Lura came with me. We had a good visit. played flinch &c.
Sept. 3. Thurs.
Went to Wilkinson's to lunch - a big table - full.
Claude too and quite nice. Did puzzles.
Sept. 4. Fri.
Fine day. Coolish. Left early & went to the dentist's then to Henny-penny's party - all his family. It was
beautiful.
Gran'ma Wilkinson & Uncle Harry were sick & couldn't come but there
was
Gran'ma & Grampa

- a lovely birthday cake with candles (He said " 'moke! 'moke!!"
which Chandler liked too. Brown bread &
butter sandwiches, chocolate, coffee, cake, ice cream &c. &c. A bouquet of
'stertums and lots of beautiful presents which made him laugh. The
little black - walnut cart his great- grandfather made his father &c. He
tho't his father looked veryqueerindeed in a paper dunce - cap!! Everybody had a lovely
time - tho'

Maisie felt like it.
Chandler and the little
Wilsons enjoyed the party as much as Henry - if possible!
Letitia gave him some lovely ten pins. Went
to "The Devil"
