Oct. 13. Wed. Lovely morning. I took some farewell family pictures of the Braley's & Frances tried to take Trudy, Eo & I. and at 9 we (Eo & I) left on the trolley in front of the house for Saratoga. It was a beautiful trip as the hills & foliage were in evidence. At Saratoga Eo just caught her car for Troy and I just missed mine for Schenectady & so had about an hour to view the town & buy Mother a blue jap. bowl & Father a handkerchief. Schenectady Station pleased me. And the remains of a wedding party waited for the train with one. I met Nellie Johnson of Watertown on the dinning car & had a nice little chat with her alone "domestic architecture" &c. Arrived home just after dark - in time to see the elaborate street illum inations for the Industrial parade tonight & in time for supper. It is much colder. Mother went to church, later & CFB is in New York.
