Feb. 3 Mon A fine winter morning but Calvary Church (South Avenue) burned last night. I went to Cro'nest before the office and found the Dear Boy quite a bit better, but not coming down today - Baby Henry was so sweet.

Letitia comes today and then Miss Jones
 is going to the Taylors to stay while Mrs. T. is abroad - Romeyn - the oldest boy - has already had an operations for appendicitis since his mother left - ! Read Alice to night & "Lost Man's Lane"
Miss Flack lent me. Feb 4 Tues 8 degree below zero today - Claude was down to day & went to Buffalo this p.m. to consult Dr. the stomach specialist Feb. 5 Wed. C.F.B still in Buffalo but telephoned he had an encouraging interview with the Dr. &c. We had another awful blizzard - cold and snow after waiting half-an-hour for an Exchange St. Car (5.50 to 6:20) I walked in the teeth of the storm & the next car came at 7:10!! A big fire on Water St. tonight Fee Bros. liquor house. 10° below! Feb. 6 Thurs Claude back and feeling much better must go again but it isn't terribly serious 37 "Stella" tunes
came & I stayed up late with them! Feb. 7. Fri. Lunched with little Ethel
 at Seel's this noon (it was blizzardy) and then we went over and bowled two games - and again tonight (with the crowd) I made 95! - way ahead of the other girls - supper bath & bed later. Feb. 8. Sat Still wintry. Shopped with Edith tonight in the cold - Accounts in evening.
