There were 5 or 600 people there (loads I knew) at it National Theatre & Claude went to Buffalo afterward in the Sprague's auto, by moonlight! Aug 8. Sun A very hot day. Breakfast in bed. Fred got home this morning from the Islands. I finished up the blueprints I didn't take yesterday p.m. Made some Camera Contest pictures of Meta & the twins

& wrote a lot. Late this p.m. went to Cro'nest & had such a good time with the babies. Chan was a dear - with almost nothing on - and Henry had a pink ribbon in his hair & was "Marjories" - to his delight. He talked a lot - about "G'anma's um- bolly" (umbrella) &c &c. Mother came later & we had iced tea, cake & watermelon. The babies had been barefoot all day & while "Nanna" gave Chan his bath I took Henry for a little ride. Later Mother & I walked home - stopping at Mt. Hope. I sprinkled (what Theo hadn't) & ate supper and wrote. Aug 9. Mon Very hot muggy day. Claude dear came home. Lura was sick - very sick yesterday fainted 4 times. I went over there tonight she was in the hammock & Chat & Mrs. B. were there & Kitty Crichton came for a little while. We had a nice visit Aug 10. Tues Beautiful day. Mother went with 9 of the Autumn Chapter to Conesus to spend
