got off and had strawberry ice cream (at least M. & I did) in the back of a dark grocery - & reached Brockport about 7 o'clock. The lunched we ate up on deck - about Adam's basin tasted fine. At Brockport we bought postals & walked way up to the hotel & back - branching off at College Street to see the Normal & Mary Jane Holme's house. We got the 8:01 home - tho' it didn't go till about 8:21. Went thro' Adam's basin, Spencerport (2), Eastlake, Ogden, South Greece got home a little after 9 or so. Nice time. Aug 15. Sun. (Frieda's, Napoleon's, Marks Twain's & Mrs. Dans birthday & Charella Burr's 4th wedding anniversary. It was so cloudy I couldn't take my 10 pictures (I'd borrowed a camera) but managed 3 between showers. My last chances at the Twins

as they go south the 24th. After dinner it rained good & hard. I went up to Cro'nest & showed Channy, Henry the "Raggedy - man" Book & spun tops &c. Channy very cute & Henry rather cross - but funny (he hadn't slept) Mother came & then I went over to Davis's, Claude goes to N.Y. tonight. Chat, Lura & Mrs. B. were home & Frank & Frances came. They just got home from Canada Friday night. Francey prettier than ever. Chat gave her an "Alaska silver spoon".
