to Webster & filled 2 carriages to go to "Dew Drop Inn". Had a nice visit out in the swing. Mabel presented us with fans, & we had a special chicken dinner before the other boarders. "Ma Wright" was funny & nice. After dinner we went down to the bridge- the "open air the theater" & Mabel gave us 3 monologues - the Rainbow Dyes - the Grad- uating essay (a new one - full) and the hair- dresser. We did enjoy the sunset coming home. I sat with Matie & she told me a lot about the awful fortunes she has suffered with that broken jaw. She is going to the hospital again in September & have a lot more things done. She's a Wonder! July 18 Sun A "black & blue day." Clouds & sunshine. Tried to take some Camera-contest pictures with the twins
today - but I don't think they were much good. At Cro'nest they had an open fire & it wasn't a bit uncomfortable. Channie is such a dear - so very winsome. Poor little Hemeny's cough is still pretty bad. Stopped at Carings & had "grape nut ice cream" coming home (Elsie's) Read later. July 19 Mon Cool day & nice. Finished "Life of Mary Jemison" (very interesting) Jo back from Buffalo (She went again) & goes home tomorrow. Jult 20 Tues Lovely day. Saw Mother & some more "Autumns" off for Canandaigua for the day. They were late home, too. Went to the Exhibit of the Photographers convention at Convention Hall.
